Ontario Virtual School (OVS) is a Ministry-inspected online school offering more than 170 courses in both English and French for students in Grades 6-12. Designed to complement traditional schooling, OVS provides flexible pathways for students to earn credits toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). OVS partners with schools across Ontario and internationally to expand course access when scheduling, staffing, or availability make it difficult to offer certain classes in-house.

OSupporting students’ academic and post-secondary goals is central to OVS’s approach. Students use OVS to complete prerequisites for competitive university programs, upgrade marks, resolve timetable conflicts, or access courses not offered at their day school. All credits are carefully documented and integrated into students’ academic records, ensuring seamless alignment with their day school and the Ontario curriculum.
